The UUA runs a mailing list server for both discussion lists and announcement lists. A number of discussion lists are active, invaluable places where UU congregational leaders and activists share stories and advice.

Our Most Popular Email Lists catalogs our active lists by topic. If your UUA work includes any of these topics, consider subscribing to the appropriate list.

  • Learn about the experiences of UUs and UU congregations. We’ve learned a lot about congregational websites from the Websters list, and used this information for our web page on the subject. The UU-Leaders and UU-Money lists are great, too.
  • Find out what resources and services UUs are looking for. If the resource is on, you might want to let the subscribers know. If not, it’s important to know what resources we should create.
  • Search archives for past posts. If you are researching a topic that might have been discussed on the list in the past, almost every list has a searchable archive online.
A complete list includes closed lists (for committees, etc.), inactive lists, announcement lists (e-newsletters), and lists run by districts and other UU organizations. If there’s no discussion list on your topic, and you’d like to manage one, you can find out how to apply for a new list.
Have fun! See you online!
