UUA has a WeTransfer channel that you can use to send files that are too big for an email (up to 2 GB). Using it is easy, simply head over to https://uua.wetransfer.com and enter your email address, the address of the person you’d like to send a file to and select the file(s) you’d like to send them.

Now just press the Transfer button and let your file or files upload, we transfer will take care of the rest; as soon as your upload is complete it will send an email to each of the addresses you entered with a download link. If you are looking for an easy way to send big files around this one is about as simple as it gets and it wont clog up anyone’s inbox with over sized attachments. Note: This is not permanent storage the download link will remain active for 4 weeks. After that you’d need to upload the file again.

Power User Tip: To take advantage of the power of your own email client (contacts, distribution lists, history, etc.), send files to yourself rather than your friends. In a minute or two you’ll receive a confirmation email from wetransfer. Then copy the link (look near the bottom) and paste that into a message to your friends. You’ll notice that emails sent directly by wetransfer.com take several moments to open in Outlook, another good reason to forward just the link.

Update: Just like email this method isn’t 100% secure, anyone with the link can grab a copy of the files. If your data is sensitive make sure its encrypted or find another way to send it. If you are unsure you can always ask, just fire an email over to helpdesk [at] uua.org.
